Este lunes 15 de marzo se anunciaron los nominados por la Academia para los premios Oscar que se llevaran a cabo este 25 de abril, tiempo después debido a la crisis sanitaria que se vivió el año y pasado, y que actualmente sigue siendo factor a nivel mundial.
La 93 entrega de los premios Oscar va a destacar el talento femenino como nunca antes había pasado, ya que 70 mujeres recibieron 76 distintas nominaciones, récord para una edición.
Además, ha sido la primera vez que dos mujeres están nominadas en la categoría de Mejor Director; Emerald Fennell y Chloé Zhao. También es la primera vez que una dama asiática es tomada en cuenta para la entrega del premio.
La diversidad cultural y racial ha sido un tema dentro de la industria cinematográfica los últimos años y en este 2021 no será la excepción con 3 afrodescendientes Leslie Odom Jr. (Una Noche en Miami) y Daniel Kaluuya y Lakeith Stanfield (Judas y el Mesías Negro).
